What has big brother been up to?

Tobin loves organizing!!!!!! He's definately my child. We were packing our videos away, to be stored in the basement and Tobin was a great help. He's becoming quite a good helper. Now if we could just get Tobin to change Corwin's diapers. :)

Gram and I took Tobin to the Botanical Gardens to play in the fountains. The Botanical Gardens has a wonderful children's garden and it's free to City residents on Wed. mornings. Tobin LOVED the water and wasn't intimidated one bit by the "big" kids. You'll see in one of the pictures that he lost a shoe at one point. We didn't dare stop him to put the shoe back on.

Tobin started crying everytime we would put him in his high chair. We realized that he was getting too big for his high chair tray. His lap was too fat. So, we're a big boy now and have started sitting at the table. We are also eating with forks and spoons. What happened to my little boy?

We took Tobin to the City Gardens downtown. As soon as we put Tobin's feet to the concrete he didn't stop running. The kid loves water. He actually drew an audience. He has no fear. He would stick his face right over the top of the fountain and wait for the water to spray in his face.

What would we do without Grandparents?

My dad drove 2 hours just to see our little man, Corwin and then turned right back around, the same night to go home. Thanks grandpa Black. Grandpa Black loves his boys.

Gram Phillips has been with us almost 2 weeks now. Wow, what a help she has been. I'm not sure what we would have done without her. Tobin has been her shadow since she has arrived. He loves his gram.

Grandma Black came and stayed with Tobin for the couple of days that I was in the hospital and then stayed with us for a couple of days after we brought Corwin home. Tobin then went to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Black for the rest of the week. What a HUGE help. Rob and I actually got bored while Tobin was staying with them. I'm not sure we'll ever be bored again.

Hip Hip Horray for Grandparents. Tobin loves his Grandparents and Corwin will soon find out how blessed he is as well.

Feeling sorry for my first baby

I am so feeling sorry for Tobin. He used to be the center of our attention and now there is another little, person sharing the lime light. It's breaking my heart. This feeling has been a total shock to my system. I just want to cuddle with him and try to explain to him what has just happened to his small, little world.

I'm trying not to let precious moments with Tobin slip on by. He is at such a fun age right now. He's finally starting to say some words and he's copying everything we do and say. The other day my mom had him in Target and it sounded like Tobin kept saying "Oh, sh@#$*t" over and over. We finally figured out that he was saying "Let's see". I guess my mom and I both have a habbit of saying "Let's see". Too funny.

Another funny moment...... Tobin loves to take out my canned goods from the pantry. The other day he was organizing the cans but this time he kept giving them a kiss. I thought it was the cutest thing. He would place a can on the table and give it a kiss. He placed about 6 cans on the table and repeated the kissing to all of the cans. Later my mom went to put the cans away and noticed they were really sticky. Little did we know that the honey jar had leaked out onto all of my cans in the pantry. Tobin wasn't kissing the cans hew as licking the honey off of the cans. :)

Oh, my sweet, sassy little toddler. He's staying with my parents for the next couple of days so he can get some undivided attention. I cried when I put him in the car yesterday. This is hard. I told Rob last night that I wish we could raise Tobin till he's 18 years old and then have the second baby. I so want to give all of my attention to each boy and that just can't happen.

I'm a big brother now

Everyone keeps asking how Tobin is doing with a new, little one around. Tobin is pretty much unaware of Corwin. About the only time he notices Corwin is when he cries. My mom brought Tobin up to the hospital a couple of times and he was much more interested in pushing mommy's buttons on her bed.

Grandma got this shirt for Tobin. Thank goodness for Grandma. She stayed at our place with Tobin while we were in the hospital. They had lots of fun walks and time in the park. Yeah, for Grandma.

Meet Corwin Ezekiel

Cowin(Heart's Delight) Ezekiel(God's Strength)

Corwin has a head full of dark hair and looks more like my baby pictures than Rob's.

This is Rob's hand with Corwin's footprint. I was so proud of Rob this time around. He was there during my epidural, cut the cord and actually watched some of the birth. Yeah, daddy.

Corwin was 8 pounds 11 oz and 21 in. long. He's not as big as his brother was but Tobin cooked a week longer than Corwin.

Here we go again....

I had a doctor's apt on May 11th(the day before my official due date)and my dr. thought, considering my history of labor with Tobin, that she would go ahead and induce me on my due date. I had an ultrasound and it showed the baby weighing about 8.13 so he was definately ready to come on out.

So, on May 12th we waited for the call from the hospital, which was around 8 o'clock that night, and headed off for the hospital. Mom came to be with Tobin and all was well. They started my patosin drip at about 10pm and gave me an ambien to sleep. My doc was not on call so she didn't want me to go into labor till morning. At 7am on May 13th she came in to break my water and then everything went speedy quick. I got my epideral at around 10am and was dialated at about 8cm then. Around noon my dr. came in to check on me and I was at 10cm and ready to go. She asked me to do a "practice" push and when I did the baby's head crowned. She rushed all of the nurses in and put on her gear and 3 pushes later we had another little boy added to our family.
