Tobin's LOVES

Tobin is a chip off the ol-block. He LOVES the computer. Every time Rob sits down at the computer(or anyone for that matter) Tobin wants to be on their lap. We finally got out one of Rob's old keyboards and put it next to our computers.

This morning we woke at 7am to the noise of a jack hammer. We have had a sink hole in the back of our house for a couple of months now and the city is fixing it today. We will finally be able to park our car in the carport. They are having to dig a 14 foot hole to fix the sewer line that's causing the sink hole. Well, this whole process has been quite entertaining for the toddler in our house. Tobin LOVES trucks and tractors. He spent about an hour this morning watching a dump truck and some kind of a tractor in our backyard. He kept saying "Woah" and then giggling. From the looks of things we're going to be entertained for quite awhile.

Our big baby

Anytime we put Corwin on the floor Tobin thinks he needs to be on the floor as well. This picture is funny to me. Tobin looks like a giant baby. He's such a chunky monkey and still has that baby hair. Corwin is HUGE!!!! At his one month check up he was almost 12 pounds. Tobin wasn't 12 pounds until 3 months old.

It's HOT!!!!!!!

Summer is sooooo hot this year. It's hard with a newborn to do anything in this heat. We have been spending a lot of time in the house. For those of you that know me well, you know that mommy doesn't do so well stuck in the house. I need to get out and about at least once a day. We have spent some time out in the backyard playing in the swimming pool but mommy can only last so long when there is a little one on top of me.

Tobin has been pretty creative with his time in the house. The other day it got really quiet in Tobin's room. As I do everytime it gets quiet, I went to check out what was going on. Tobin had gotten the cotton balls out of the drawer and lined them up in rows all over his room. The boy is pretty creative or I guess pretty bored.

What a great daddy

Rob is such a great daddy. Tobin has pretty much turned into his little shadow/buddy. Tobin has always loved his daddy but this special little bond started happening about 7 months into my pregnancy. Mommy could no longer keep up with Tobin. I can keep up with Tobin now but I always have this other little person attached to me.

Daddy trying to sleep in on a Saturday morning. I guess those days are over.

Daddy still trying to get some sleep in.

Father's Day. My cute boys.

Change is good but hard

Tobin is trying his best to adjust to this new, little man. He has some good days and some not so good days. Tobin still pretty much ignores Corwin. However he doesn't ignore the fact that our time with Corwin is taking away from our time with him. He's no dumby.

This is a picture of Tobin watching "Shaun the Sheep". Unfortunately, TV has become one of our best friends. Yes, I hate it but it's kind of been a survival tool for mommy. You see when I'm nursing Tobin feels like it's his opportune time to do whatever he can while mommy's hands are tied. So, we have made it a routine that when I'm nursing Corwin,Tobin either sits next to me in the chair or he sits in his own little chair and watches TV. I keep telling myself, this is just for a season. So, for right now, thank you PBS and Gram and Poppy for providing "Shaun the Sheep".

We have gotten all of the "baby" items back out of the closet for Corwin but Tobin thinks they are still his. Poor Corwin can't get alone time with any of the toys. Any time I lay Corwin down on the baby mat Tobin feels like he's supposed to be right next to him. Tobin thinks it's his bouncy seat and his swing. The other day Tobin was taking a nap and I put Corwin on his tummy. As soon as I put Corwin on his tummy he rolled over. WOAH!!!!! Poor thing hadn't had much tummy time because his brother won't allow him to have any alone time. I wonder what else Corwin is capable of???
